Trovo, a wholesaler of recovered building materials, is an initiative of construction company HuisMus. Trovo collects reusable materials from demolition works and gives them a second life in new constructions or sells them via an online catalogue www.trovo.be
The construction industry has been generating tonnes of waste from demolition works for years, while many materials are far from reaching the end of their useful life. Nicolas Meersschaut and his team give those materials a second life in construction projects they are working on themselves or sell them via www.trovo.be.
Trovo focuses mainly on materials that fit within carpentry and joinery, insulation and façade and roofing. For additional labour, Trovo can rely on employees from custom-made companies, CPAS, workplace learning and secondary school trainees.
The offer on Trovo is very diverse and ranges from stairs, doors and windows to insulation materials, bricks and roof tiles. To keep adding to its offer, Trovo is always looking for new demolition sites.
