Who steers what at Flanders Circular?
Baby gear has a short lifespan. For a few years they provide safe play and riding fun, with luck you can pass them on to family and friends, and at worst they inexorably disappear into the attic, basement or garage. Entrepreneurs Lore and Marie want to extend that short lifespan and offer a circular rental platform for baby gear with Something Green.
Every parent knows that quality baby and children's gear doesn't come cheap. Those who, as parents, opt for ecological and sustainable children's supplies on top of that, quickly run into a problem: supply is limited. For example, there are few sustainable alternatives for items such as prams, car seats and bike seats. So the solution to the problem lies not in a new supply, but in a circular approach.
With Something Green, entrepreneurs Lore and Marie created an online rental platform for baby gear. Parents with children up to 2 years old can go there for their entire baby outfit. Do the children grow faster than expected? Or don't like the product? Then simply return it as soon as the rental period is over. You can also test the products before you rent them. You can do that at Atelier BéBé, Lore's children's shop.
In addition to Atelier BéBé, Flexpack, a tailoring company in Puurs, is also a collection point. Something Green works with them for cleaning and repairs of baby and children's items.
