Who steers what at Flanders Circular?
Robi was developed by De Leiding BV, which, under the name Robinetto, has been installing sustainable water taps at events, in companies, catering establishments and schools since 2018. But since more than 60% of bottled water in Belgium is consumed at home, a home solution was needed. The team wanted to make drinking water from the tap a recognizable ritual, so they developed a simple system with a button. 'The water from the button' was a reality.
Three types of capsules
How is it that people still drink so much bottled water when our tap water is perfectly drinkable? Quite simply: the taste. As a solution, Robi therefore offers several capsules that enrich your tap water with a specific taste. The capsules contain an innovative activated carbon filter, which effectively purifies, filters and enriches tap water.
- Soft Capsule: filters limescale and other taste disruptors for extra soft water.
- Original Capsule: filters taste disruptors for deliciously pure water
- Plus Capsule: filters limescale and taste disruptors and adds extra magnesium.
Not abrakadabra, but aquakadabra
Robi is a clear ecosystem that consists of a module under the sink, the Robi Box, the carrier of the Robi Capsule. You control everything with the Robi Button. The Robi App monitors your usage and thus tells you how much you drink each day. Handy! You can also easily install and repair the box and filters yourself. On the website you will find a clear manual with video.
Robi won the Henry van de Velde Consumer Bronze Award in 2024. Empty capsules can be recycled by taking them to a Bioplanet store. No Bioplanet nearby? Then you can simply dispose of the empty capsule in your residual waste.
