Who steers what at Flanders Circular?
Nana Café is a cosy coffee house with fresh products made from rescued bananas and specialty coffee in Ghent. Salomé Verduyckt previously tested her concept as a pop-up in shopping centre Gent-Zuid and it was such a success that she moved to a permanent location.
Did you know that bananas are the product most often thrown away in supermarkets? They quickly become overripe and are therefore no longer sold. Salomé wants to do something about this and rescues those bananas from the rubbish heap and uses them to make high-quality, artisanal products. The products range from banana bread and brownies to ice cream, cheesecake and yoghurt.
Would you like to taste a bit of everything? Then be sure to keep an eye on the Facebook page for the Bohemian Brunches that return regularly. During this brunch you'll get to know various sustainable dishes from Nana Café. You can also order them as lunch boxes and have them delivered to your home.
