Who steers what at Flanders Circular?
EQUITONE is a brand of fiber cement facade materials. Etex wants to make the current value and supply chain of EQUITONE more circular. To this end, it will work intensively with all chain partners: R&D, buyers, project developers, architects, suppliers, installers, logistics partners, recycling companies, production sites, certification organizations, government, etc.
The project starts from the partnership model whereby the circular challenges of the building material EQUITONE are considered with all partners in the chain, such as:
- switching to increasingly recycled content,
- creating closed cycles with own products/components and materials,
- extending product life through reuse, remanufacturing or renovation,
- solutions for collection, recycling and upcycling.
Etex will investigate the cooperation to be set up with each of the partners in order to provide a circular response to the challenges.
The project is entirely based on the collaboration of supply chain partners. The goal is on the one hand to create circular impact and on the other hand to create an economically scalable model that is interesting for each partner in the chain.
Etex will fully map the process of collaboration and document it as a learning process so that all partners and other players can learn from it.
