Who steers what at Flanders Circular?
Linked.Farm is a cooperative platform, founded by Laurence Claerhout, that has been helping farmers, producers, shops and wholesalers work together since 2015. Farmers deliver directly to individuals, restaurants or shops and jointly organise their logistics via pick-up or delivery.
Linked.Farm believes that high-quality, healthy food straight from the farm should be the norm for everyone, at a fair price for both producer and eater. Therefore, it empowers farmers themselves to organise the Short Chain more efficiently with the help of a user-friendly platform. Farmers organise themselves as individual producers or work together in a hub.
Farmers are co-owners of Linked.Farm. To help them start or grow in the short chain, Linked.Farm develops digital tools and an independent service to support logistics, sales, marketing and administration. The producer remains the price setter of its products. Linked.Farm is a true community of actors who want to reinvent the food system.
