To avoid that, as a parent you can bring your children's things that are too small but still in good condition to Het Wisselke. At De Uitwissel, you can leave them in one of the collection boxes around town or bring them in during the walk-in free time at the House of the Child. At Het Wisselke and during the walk-in free time, you will receive stamps in exchange. With these stamps, you can choose new items to give to your children in the shop and the web shop.

Special attention for families in difficulty

At Het Wisselke, you will find everything from clothes to care materials to transport for babies and toddlers. All families in Hasselt get the chance to pick up clothes and stuff for their babies and toddlers for free. This is why the exchange shop also works with various partners such as Kind en Gezin, the OCMW and Jessa Hospital. If they notice that families are really struggling financially or in urgent need of new clothes or items, they give full stamp cards. De Uitwissel has a very nice range of sportswear and tennis rackets to equipment for youth clubs.
