Tournevie is a non-profit lending service for tools and equipment in Brussels.
The principle is comparable to that of an ordinary library: in exchange for a small annual contribution, you have unlimited, membership-based access to a wide range of high-quality tools and equipment. The standard membership costs only €20 and you can use the entire range for a year. Just like the ‘Instrumentheek’ (tool library), Tournevie is a nice alternative to leasing and sales outlets.
Tournevie also organises repair workshops to encourage consumers to take better care of their tools and equipment. The lending service also works with iFixit, the Wikipedia for repairs.
